Hey lovelies! Sorry I haven’t posted in a while but I’m back and ready with at least three blog posts for you! Its currently the half term meaning I have a week to catch up with things and one of them was my blog. Today’s post is a review of Mac’s Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish that I recently purchased after contemplating on whether to buy it or not but in the end I gave in and bought it!
Mac’s Mineralize Skinfinish line is probably one of my favourite lines from Mac. I love how the products are baked as I feel like they give a more natural finish and I just love how soft to the touch they are. I’ve been wanting Soft & Gentle for a while now and when I bought it I definitely didn’t regret it; it’s amazing. I use either my angles blush brush (the one in the feature photo), to apply this, or my Real Techniques expert face brush. I know, it’s a strange brush to use, but I feel like it packs the product on and gives a more intense glow to my face if I ever fancy it.
The pigmentation is amazing, as are all mac products, and it’s such a beautiful rose gold colour that, in my opinion, goes really well with most skin tones. It gives a beautiful yet natural glow to your face and you can build up the intensity by just adding more product. The only fault in this product is that it can be quite messy because of how powdery it is. I often find the inside of the packaging to be lightly covered with the product.
Overall, I really love this product and it is definitely my favourite highlighter. I recommend giving this a try, even if it is on the pricier side, but it is totally worth it!
Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t posted in a while but I have been stuck with trying to think of ideas on what blog posts to do. But then I thought I would do one on a foundation, considering I am a huge foundation junkie. So here is my review for you on the Mac Studio Fix Fluid as this is quite a popular foundation from Mac and I wanted to add my opinion to the many other reviews. Lets get started…
Mac Studio Fix Fluid retails at the price £22 which isn’t too pricey for a high-end foundation compared to the Nars Sheer Glow that retails for £31; pretty expensive I know. All Mac foundations are around this price which isn’t too bad, in my opinion. This foundation has an SPF of 15 meaning it will protect your skin from the sun, which is always a good factor, without having to put a sun cream on before it; unless you want to. Mine is in the shade NC20 which is actually a shade too dark for me and is, for some strange reason, quite yellow, however, it matches me pretty well when I have a nice tan going on. The coverage for this, I would say, is a medium coverage but is definitely buildable and gives a semi-matte finish on the skin, not really dewy but not completely matte, as well as blending nicely into the skin.
I wouldn’t say that I can’t feel this on my skin because I can since it is quite a high coverage foundation but it’s not too heavy at all. It clings to my dry patches a little bit on my forehead but nothing a little moisturiser on before the foundation won’t solve. It lasts at least a good 6 hours on my face as well which is quite good and doesn’t seem to budge even when it’s hot and I’m sweating.
The only downside to this foundation is that it doesn’t come with a pump, meaning you have to pay extra for one , other wise it’s a tricky chore to get the product out as well as being quite messy if your not careful. The pump retails at £4.50 if you want to buy one, like I did since another costumer behind me suggested I get one.
Overall I quite like this foundation and I would definitely re-purchase this but I would make sure to get my exact shade this time and I advise anyone who is going to spend money on a high end foundation, to get matched at the counter so that you don’t end up wasting a lot of money on the wrong shade.
If you have any more questions about the foundation, please feel free to leave them in the comments below. Thank you for reading and I hope this was helpful.
As a teenager who suffers from breakouts I have fallen in LOVE with this skin care product. I cant believe I didn’t know about this product ages ago when I was hunting desperately for something to compete with my horrible breakouts. This amazing product is called Sudocrem and is quite a know cream, although for some reason I didn’t think of using this until recently.
Sudocrem is quite a good price for the amount that you get and considering a little goes a long long way. Even if this was a bit more on the pricey side I would definitely still purchase this as it’s simply an amazing product. It says it can be used for nappy rash, eczema, surface wounds, sunburn, minor burns, acne, bedsores and chilblains but I specificity use it for my breakouts.
Applying the Product: Before I go to bed I wash and dry my face like normal and then apply a generous amount to my face in the areas that need it. I don’t rub it fully into the skin just so that it lasts longer on my face and their is enough product. When I first tried this out I saw viable results the next morning and I was amazed. The redness on my face had reduced significantly and the more I used it the better my skin got. The best thing about this product is how fast and effective it is. I have been using it for about five days now and I am so so pleased with the results. I haven never had such clear skin in such a long time and it feels amazing.
As a result of my clear skin, thanks to this life saver, It means ive been able to wear less makeup and been able to get away with just wearing one of my favourite concealers (if you want me to do a daily makeup routine, including some of my favourite products, just like this post or comment down below). The only thing I would say is a disadvantage to this product is that it’s quite thick and you have to rub it in well otherwise it will stay white on your skin as it is a white cream.
Thanks for reading. Remember to comment some blog post ideas and if you want me to do a post on my daily makeup routine. Follow me on Instagram if you want: @anti.socool
Hey! Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, ive been super busy with exams recently and I just haven’t found the time to sit down and do another post for you guys. I’ve only got three more exams left and then I’m finished! That means ill have LOADS of time to post!
In this post I am going to be review Lush’s Herbalism face and body scrub. I go this as a gift quite a while back but only recently have I been using it enough to see results; and some amazing results as well. This scrub, I believe, is £6.75 for a 100g tub which I think is great value for money since it’s SUCH an amazing product and last quite a long time as you really don’t need much for one application. Although this product has a strange sort of smell, it’s not too bad and, to be honest, its nothing to worry too much about. If you would like to know more about this product and what it does then lick HEREand it should send you straight to the link where you can read up about it some more about it.
My skin suffers a little from spots that I get mostly on my cheeks, forehead and my chin that I have struggled to keep under control, however, I definitely wouldn’t say that I have acne. I would say that my skin is combination as I suffer from a little oiliness around my T-Zone but also dryness around my nose too. I have been looking for something that would be able to get rid of all the gunk and dirt, like make-up, off of my face and make it feel clean, fresh and smooth without being too harsh since I am young and don’t wish to use harsh product on delicate skin. Ever since using this product, about 2-3 times a week, I have found that my skin has dramatically cleared up and I have even been able to wear a lot less make-up and still feel comfortable with out I look. It is super easy to use and leaves my skin feeling silky soft and squeaky clean life a blank canvas.
I can not recommend this product enough to you and I am excited to see how much more my skin will have improved in the next few weeks and even months. I can definitely say that I will be repurchasing this product with no hesitation and I will continue to use this religiously until something better, if it dares, comes on the market for the same bargain price. What makes this product even more reliable is that I know it is coming from a source that is not only animal testing free but also organic and hand made.
Just a little disclaimer before I end this post: as amazing as this product is, it might not work for everyone. Everybody has different types of skin meaning different things work for different people. What works for me like a dream might not work quite the same for someone else so checking what your skin type is or what it is like can help you to pick the best products that will suit and benefit your skin.
Thank you for reading and I hope you liked this post! Make sure to comment any other posts you would like me to do and ill see what ones I can do. Love you!
I love Mac and not just because of its sleek and beautiful packaging but because their products are actually amazing quality.
My first Mac product was the Studio Sculpt Foundation in the shade NW 15. It was originally my sisters but when she came home from buying it, they had matched her with the shade that was too dark for her but, luckily, the perfect shade for me, so I bought it off of her for £15. It is originally £25 so I got a good deal considering she had only used a tiny bit of it; one of the many advantages of having an older sister that you’re close with.
So about the product. This foundation has a sort of gel based formula meaning it is quite think and gives a medium to full coverage. However, it doesn’t feel heavy or thick on your skin, in my opinion, unlike some other high coverage foundations. The shade I wear (NW 15) looks quite yellow when I squeeze some onto my face but it blends into my skin so, so we’ll and it matches my skin tone perfectly! It also has an SPF of 15 which is always handy and I also find it lasts quite a long time on my face throughout the day. I will definitely be repurchasing this!
Onto my next Mac favourite, the Studio Finish Concealer. I have this in the shade NC 20 which is a little bit darker but, again, blends into my skin so well. The coverage is unbelievable and it conceals my dark undereye circles amazingly. It has an SPF of 35 which means it last super long and protects your skin; amazing! It is £15.50 but there is no doubt that I will be repurchasing this product when I run out.
Together, these products work wonders! However, I wouldn’t wear these two products on a daily basis as they are both quite high coverage and are more suited for if you are going out to an event of some sort, for example, a party or a wedding. For everyday I tend to wear little to no foundation with a bit of concealer.
